Tomatoes do a great job at protecting your skin from the sun. For example, if you stay outside too long and feel burnt, you can prepare a cucumber and tomato juice mixture and apply it to the affected area of your skin. Keep it on for ten minutes, and wash it off with cool, clean water. You’ll immediately notice a difference.

Another recipe to treat skin burnt by the sun can be made by adding two teaspoons of tomato juice to four tablespoons of buttermilk, and applying it all over the burnt area. Wash off after a half an hour.

Recipe to Calm Irritated Skin

For a clear, bright complexion, spread the pulp of a tomato on your face daily. Keep it on for one hour, and then wash off with warm water. If done regularly, you should see healthy, glowing results.

Recipe to Shrink Enlarged Pores

Tomato juice mixed with two or three drops of lime juice can help to shrink enlarged pores. Apply this solution on your face, and then wash off with cool, clean water after 15 minutes.

You can easily make a homemade cleanser by combining tomato and milk. Strain the tomato pulp and mix it with equal parts milk. Apply this mixture onto your face and neck using your fingertips, and keep it on for 10 minutes before rinsing. Store this in a bottle that can be refrigerated in order to use every day.
