Dr. Athré is one of Houston’s few double board-certified facial plastic surgeons, holding certification from both the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
A Houston native, Dr. Athré graduated with Honors in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin before earning his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and received the prestigious Hudson-Penn Award, presented annually to the institution’s top surgical senior medical student.
Following residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Athré completed advanced fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr. William Silver.
Today, Dr. Athré specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive procedures including rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, facelift surgery, eyelid surgery, neck rejuvenation, facial fat transfer, and facial reconstruction. Throughout his career, he has authored peer-reviewed publications, contributed to medical textbook chapters, and lectured nationally and internationally on topics related to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
